We moved last month to our 10th home in 13 years: I have spent a LOT of time hanging things on walls and trying to get the right height and level. I saw this tool and hemmed and hawed about the cost for several days before finally pulling the trigger, and I am so glad that I ordered it. This makes hanging most of my items SO EASY! It is very handy to have in my toolbox as I move around the house hanging things. There are a few ways that it could improve: I would love to see a small tack hammer included in the kit, and it does not work for hanging wooden items with keyhole hangers, but I’m not taking off a star for either of those: I love this kit, and would highly recommend it to anyone with lots of hanging to do.

Well, if that’s too much of a first world problem then stop reading now.For the rest of us trapped in DIY H-E-Double Hockey Sticks (thanks Chip and Joanna) you probably know the sense of dread that washed over me. Not from the idea of hanging the photos, or even the act, but the process and argument I was bound to get in over height and centering, and “You’re just like your father!” jabs.This little nifty gadget was the best almost $40 I ever spent. When I first looked at it, I’ll be honest I didn’t have much faith, but when my wife suggested we try it first, “just to see if it could actually be useful.” I said what the heck, I’ll delay the argument a little longer.We hung our first photo in under 3 minutes. I could’ve cried. It was so simple, and it worked so well, I actually asked to do a larger one for a challenge. Again, hung in record time. We successfully hung all our photos, did some work in my home office, and the kitchen all in about 45 minutes with no argument, no hurt feelings, and no questioning of life decisions.So, get this hanging helper. Trust me, your marriage will thank you. Also, you’ll sleep better on the couch knowing that the photo you hung wasn’t the cause of you sleeping there this time.

Best thing since sliced bread. We could not have done the amazing job of hanging all of our frames and curtains on the wall if it wasn’t for this super clever invention. It made us not to think about too much measuring. Once we got our heights marked, we placed the frames up, made sure they were leveled with the included leveler, we “stamped” the marks, removed the frame and there were the marks. Hammered in the nails and placed the frame back on. Perfectly! I dreaded the gallery wall because it has to be perfect and I’m not that kind of woman. Haha. But it made our job so easy, no guessing at all. We were so impressed at how even they all turned out. The curtains in our daughter’s nursery came out perfect and so did all of her wall art. We love this device so much!

This handy little gadget is a lifesaver, time saver, and quite possibly even a marriage saver (jk!) when it comes to hanging pictures. We’ve been putting off hanging pictures for a year because we had freshly painted walls and I tried to hang ONE picture and wound up with too high uneven holes in the wall instead of our framed picture. I gave up and decided we didn’t need art on the walls. That is until I found the HangMate In one afternoon we hung 15 pictures, mirrors, and canvases on our walls and every single one of them has only the number of holes needed for each piece, AND they are all at the perfect height! The little nail marker makes it impossible to mess up!This contraption is so easy to use, makes picture hanging take about 5-10 mins/picture instead of a year, and it comes with just about everything you need to decorate your walls. It is seriously worth every penny if you’ve got things to hang on your wall and don’t want your walls to look like a dart board. I really appreciate that it came with a ton of picture hanging supplies as well.Great product!
