I have a 3 month old baby who fights naps like a gladiator. Pair that with first time clueless parents and nap time was quite the event at our household. I bought every sleep sack and gimmick I could find. None of them worked until I came across the shusher! Today is the first day using it and I put my baby in her crib for her first nap and she fell asleep after 2 minutes of crying. I thought this was a unicorn moment but I am writing this review as she sleeps in her crib beside me. It took me 1 minute! That’s right-1 minute!!! I want to cry happy tears. I am buying a shusher for day care and another to have as backup just in case something happens to this gem of a device. If you have a terrible napper, buy the shusher! My only complaint is there isn’t an option to keep it shushing. My baby wakes up as soon as the 30 min timer runs out so I have to quickly turn it back on or nap time is over.

I love this beautiful little orange plastic magicalShusher! It’s been a life saver and my baby loves it and falls a sleep to it shortly after it is turned on. She’s six months old and has been sleeping with it since day one and the sound relaxers her and as soon as she hears it start “shushing” it cues her it’s time to go to sleep.My one and only complaint is that it does not have an option to keep it on longer then 30 minutes, my baby has grown accustomed to it, so if she isn’t super sound asleep when it turns off after 30 minutes it wakes her up. Please add a forever “ON” button as an option or at least an option to keep it on for an hour.My baby was a premie and had to stay several weeks in the NICU. I had never been in a NICU before and assumed it would be super calm quiet place that you would have to whisper, well that is not the case and there are constant noises: loud beeping, alarms going off, other babies crying, and the constant sound of people talking and moving around. It amazing that the most fragile babies become immune to the sounds and get to hearing them. I wanted to bring something from home that would bring her comfort when I couldn’t be there with her and I had bought the Shusher months before of the awards it had received and the amazing reviews. I was allowed to leave it with her in her bed because it was plastic, small, didn’t need need to be plugged in, and it could easily be disinfected and cleaned. After being cleared to go home a few weeks later the noises she had become accustomed to hearing were replaced with a quiet house but when I placed the Shusher next to her it Immediately brought comfort to her because she was already conditioned to the sound which made the transition from the NICU to home a little easier.The NICU nurses loved the Shusher and saw it’s ability to calm a fussy baby. They started to show it to other nurses, doctors, and well as other NICU parents in as well as other babies parents.I love this product so much I have personally purchased a total of 3 just for myself: one stays at home in her crib, one stays in the diaper bag to be used while we are out and about, and the other one stays with her at daycare. On top of purchasing 3 for myself I have also purchased 2 more for friends as baby gifts and plan on using it as my go to baby gift.I love the sleek design, and it’s light weight which makes it easy and portable. It’s so easy to use and needs no thought to use it. Since 30 minutes is the longest it will go, I’ve learned you can out smart it by turning it off and on again which will reset the timer giving you another 30 minutes which makes it to where you will never miss a shush.

The only thing I would change is add another option to leave it on, on top of the 2 timer options. But besides that I am obsessed with this item. I bought this item after shushing my baby at 3am for an hr and a half. It was the only thing that would calm him. I’ve used it 3x to lay him down for naps and bed and it has drastically helped as well as made car rides easier. If you’re thinking of getting this item don’t think just do it. Pricey but worth it!

My daughter received this “Shusher” as a shower gift for our new granddaughter and she uses it in her crib every day. They were here for a visit and had brought it with them but forgot it when they left (they live 3 hrs away). We have slowly been purchasing various items to have here so that they don’t have to haul everything back and forth on each visit (porta crib, video baby monitor, activity seat, plates, cups, toys, etc.) but we didn’t yet have a “shusher” … now we do. As soon as I realized they had forgotten theirs at our house I went online to Six Koalas immediately and ordered one to to be delivered to their home.We had our granddaughter for 9 days while my daughter and husband went on their honeymoon and I discovered then what a lifesaver (sleep aid) this was so I knew they HAD TO theirs replaced ASAP. This thingy is worth EVERY PENNY !!! Don’t hesitate for a moment to purchase it for yourself or a gift, you will not regret it!

Listen, you see the price, and you think that’s way too much to spend on a machine that shushes. If you have ever been up at 3am, trying to get a fussy baby to go back to sleep and gone to sleep over a bassinet trying to shush her, you will spend the money. It’s amazing. It travels well too. You just sit it in the car seat, so you don’t have to worry about a hard travel time.
